Why is it we let fear of failure dictate our potential instead of listening and following Gods

plan for us. How many opportunities do we possibly pass up simply because we were just to fearful to try?

Imagine all the possibilities if we could see ourselves as God does, full of creativity and endless potential!

I know I have made many excuses. I have even argued with God and I could come up with every necessary reason why I could justify running away from being great!

It is not the right time for me, what will people think, I don't like change, what if I have to commit, what if I take a risk and fail, what if I succeed? What is holding us back?

Do we really want to know what God is calling us to do?

"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God." 2 Corinthians 3:5 NKJV

I have learned that given the chance, our opportunities and mistakes really do matter. They are there for a reason to help us learn and to bring us out of our comfort zone, to grow and prosper. If we can only trust that God is always by our side, giving us unconditional love regardless of our fears, we will learn that fear does not exist in Gods world because fear of failure is not based on faith, but pride that we will not measure up to the statue of this world.

"For I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me" Phillipians 4:13 NLT

If we do not grab hold of all that God offers us then we bury it just like the Parable of the

talents that Jesus taught.

"Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance." Mathew 25:28 NKJV

What lies are you telling yourself and what gifts are you missing?

Take a chance with Gods faith in you.

"Do not be afraid, or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 NTL
